2024-2025 School Year

**APPLICATION REMINDERS**

  • Students enrolled as of April 1, 2024, must complete the 2024-2025 application to reserve their seats for the upcoming school year.
  • Students still on the waiting list at the end of this current school year must re-apply for 2024-2025.
  • Do Not Submit multiple applications for the same student. Doing so will only delay the selection process. 
  • Select the appropriate grade for your child. Student will be accepted based on seat availability in the grade selected on the application. 
  • If seats are available for the grade selected, parent/guardian will be contacted via the email and/or phone number on the application
  • If a parent/guardian fails to respond within five (5) calendar days of the email/call, the seat will be forfeited. Note: please check your spam/junk mail frequently. Lincoln Prep assumes no responsibility for missed notifications due to spam/junk mail delivery.
  • If no seats are available for the grade selected, your child will be placed on a waitlist--on a first-come/first-served basis.
  • If a vacancy arises before or during the 2024-2025 school year, the next Eligible Applicant on the waiting list will be offered admission and then removed from the waiting list.  
  • To avoid delays, prepare required enrollment documents now (birth certificate, shot records, copy of social security card, proof of residency, etc.)
  • You must keep your contact information up to date so that you can receive pertinent information regarding your child's education. It is especially important to have the most current contact information on file, in case of an emergency! To update your contact information, contact us at records@lincolnprep.school.  ATTENTION PARENTS!

During the summer break when school meals are not available, Louisiana SUN Bucks provide $120 for each eligible, school-aged child to buy groceries. To learn more about SUN Bucks, visit sunbucks.la.gov or scan the QR code on the Louisiana SUN Bucks Flyer.

    1. This is not the same as Pandemic EBT; everyone is NOT eligible for SUN Bucks.
    2. LPS will send list of students to DCFS on June 21, 2024. Make sure your address is correct in school files.
    3. Once issued, the money expires after 122 days. 
    4. If a student does not currently receive EBT benefits, a card will be mailed to address on file at the school.
        • To avoid delay in receiving your funds, it is imperative that your mailing address on file at LPS is up-to-date. If not, you must present proof of residence to the front office to update our files. 
          • Acceptable proof of residency documents: recently paid rent receipt, current utility bill, current lease agreement, most recent tax statement.

 Again, EVERYONE will not receive these funds, only the students that are eligible for Free and Reduced Lunch. 


   



2024 Special Education Parent Involvement Survey

Each year, the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) measures the engagement of parents of students with disabilities in school systems across the state. LDOE uses this parent involvement survey to calculate the percent of parents with a child receiving special education services who report schools facilitated parent involvement as a means of improving services and results for children with disabilities. The data collected are reported annually in the State Performance Plan (SPP) / Annual Performance Report (APR), Indicator 8: Parent Involvement.

Louisiana uses the sampling method to collect information for Indicator 8. Each year, school systems are selected to participate in the survey. All school systems are not included in the survey results for this indicator.

The survey will be available until July 31, 2024.  You can access the survey here.

If your child has an IEP and attends LPS and you have NOT received survey information, please email specialeducation@la.gov. Your response to the survey will be anonymous. You will not be asked to provide your name or your child’s name.
